LISTEN NOW! In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 16:28, “A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.” Perverse is defined as showing a deliberate and obstinate; to behave in a way that is unreasonable. A gossip is one who separates close friends. It’s a sad reality that so often is repeated as the perverse sinful heart opens the door for Satan to set their tongue on fire with words that are not true, or confirmed that divides. These gossips who fail to deal with their hearts, have no hope in trying to tame their tongue as James speaks of in James 3:2-9. The hope for a gossip is to repent before the Lord and to try to make things right with those they have separated.
