Anti Defamation League : Anti Semitism on the Rise in the World

The Anti-Defamation League is reporting that 25% of 100 countries polled express a deep hatred for the nation of Israel. Anti-Semitic events are occurring across the globe and they are increasing. Crowds are massing expressing their hatred towards the Jews and chanting, “Gas the Jews!”, “Death to the Jews”.

There is a repeated narrative that is being shouted across the globe that consistently against Israel. The images that are being broadcasted regarding the Gaza- Israel conflict consistently pictures Palestinian children injured and Israel soldiers in Gaza. Based on this, what other ideas will be concluded, other than Israel is the bad guy. It is important to remember that Israel is 70 miles wide at its widest point. It is smaller than the state of New Jersey. How can so many nations across the globe have such hatred towards the Jews and the nation of Israel? It is imperative for the church to pay attention to what they’re hearing. Without an understanding of the history of these conflicts we are at the mercy of those who are telling us what it is.

As the church, we must not be ignorant towards these realities. We must stand with Israel, we must pray for Israel, and we must pray for the leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu.
