Christians Are Not Perfect they are Forgiven

Greg, Pat and John talk about the beginning days of becoming a Christian. The desire of the enemy is for us to believe the lie that we have to be perfect and then feel self-defeated when we understand that we are not. While in college, Greg remembers a pin that one of his classmates was wearing, “Christians aren’t perfect. They’re forgiven.” This is such a powerful truth that reminds us that all men are sinners and all need God. Before coming to Jesus Christ, sin is enjoyable and one would look for ways to enjoy it. After coming to Jesus Christ, a believer feels bad about it. Religion causes the belief that we are saved by our works, by what we do. When we leave all of that, and receive Jesus into our lives as Lord and Savior, leaving our life of sin, the Bible shares how God reacts and celebrates to that. Be encouraged as you learn about the free gift of Jesus Christ and how you can enjoy all that God has for you, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Galatia, religion, lies, faithfulness, and repentance.

Proximity = Power; When Heaven Invades Earth – Lance Wallnau

Greg, Pat and John share about a recent discussion and presentation given by Lance Wallnau. Often times we forget that the church is a people, not a building. Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” When we come together, we are the church, not the building, or where we gather. In light of this, the Bible shares of the journey that Kind David endured, through his time in the cave, to being able to take down the giants of the land. In history, the gates of a city were where the authority and leadership would meet in order to make decisions. Jesus talks about how the gates of hell would not prevail against the church. The authority of the church has power over the authority of hell. “We become the government that vetoes the government of hell.”  Jesus continues again by saying, “the heavenly bodies will be shaken” Matthew 24:29. As God shakes everything that can be shaken, the armies of evil and darkness will be shaken, to the point that those held captive by the armies of darkness will be shook loose and set free by the power of Jesus Christ. As darkness increases throughout the world, we can be encouraged in the knowledge that the light of Jesus Christ will shine brighter. Enjoy this encouraging moment as you learn an insightful understanding of the intensifying world events, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: evil, boldness, remnant, spiritual wickedness, worship, Tabernacle of David, and prayer.

Civil Rights and Civil Christianity in America

Greg, Pat and John talk about the importance of how to respond to the world events as an American Christian. In America, there is the Constitution which provides the freedoms and rights to be able to peaceably assemble in the name of Jesus and pray in the name of Jesus. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. greatly demonstrated how the church can impact the nation abiding by both the laws of the land and scriptures. We can stand up as bold witnesses in our generation for Christ. Be encouraged as you learn of the new addition to The Torch, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Organizers of the Light, King Rules, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Dr. Alveda King, the Constitution, the 1stAmendment, and boldness.
