The Story Behind the Story: Children Sold as Sex Slaves in Cambodia- The Pink Room
Greg, Pat, and John have an impacting conversation about a piece of history. Often times we hear the all too common saying: “history repeats itself.” The question is: do we know the history that is repeating itself? Currently, there is more slavery in the world than there has ever been. In the nation of Cambodia, the sex trafficking industry is at unprecedented levels. Children are being sold for sex at the average age of 5-8 years old. “How can this happen?!” “How could these parents do this to their children?” There must be a chain of events that brought us to this reality. Only a few years in the past highlights the evil communistic leadership of the dictator Pol Pot. “It’s Pol Pot’s fault!” That’s not the whole story either.
