Greg, Pat and John have a refreshing conversation about the realities of sin. With all the different events happening across the globe, it is easy to think that one’s problems lie in another, whether it’s a job, an economy, leadership, a relative or a spouse. Truth is, each of us will stand alone before Jesus Christ and have to answer personally for our own sin. To blame another is to surrender the authority that God gave us. When you look at the word B.L.A.M.E., But Look At My Excuse, you can see this reality.
Our problem is not with the proverbial Pharaoh or Moses in our life, it’s not Washington, it’s not the President, it’s not the economy, and it’s not our boss. There is an applicable saying in this matter, “I looked in the mirror to see what the issue would be I found that when I looked in the mirror my issue was me.” Our problems lie within ourselves. Only when we acknowledge this truth and respond accordingly will we see a change in our lives. When you look at the journey of the Israelites coming out of Egypt and through the desert, God orchestrated the whole thing. When you look at everything happening across the globe, God has orchestrated the whole thing. Everything can be stopped if we repent of our own individual sins and stop looking to and blaming others for what we ourselves are responsible for. At the same time that God’s people were being oppressed by Pharaoh, God was raising up a deliverer. Be encouraged as you learn what God’s intentions are throughout all of these realities, how you can respond, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Israel, Egypt, Pharaoh, Moses, President Barack Obama, political parties, organizational charts, Guy Fawkes, and Common Core.
