WATCH OR LISTEN NOW!
By looking at the events and realities that are taking place within the fabric of America, one can gather, that we need the intervention of God on our behalf. Thursday marks the National Day of Prayer in America. 2 Chronicles 7:14 states, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Pastor Jack Graham, Honorary Chairman for the National Day of Prayer 2015, shares about the significance of prayer and how this has caused either the rising or falling of kingdoms. Be greatly encouraged to stand with us, in prayer as we pray for the nation, and so much more. Greg and John shared in this segment.
When we look back at the profound life and events that were carried out through such impacting men, like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we see the mighty advances and effects that one man can have on not only a people, but also a nation. What we may not be aware of is the opposition that takes place amidst such intense advancements. Bishop T.D. Jakes shares about an encounter that he had with a man who walked with Dr. King, Andy Young. Young detailed to Jakes the opposition that Dr. King received on every side. While there was opposition on the outside, there was murmuring and complaining on the inside. The profound wisdom that Young shared was, “we could not wait for the controversy to stop for the movement to go forward.” Have you been waiting for the controversy to stop in order to begin again where you left off? Be encouraged as you hear more about these exciting truths and so much more. Greg and John shared in this segment.
Partnering with Government Instead of Submitting to God?
There is a mindset that has promulgated so many thinking that we can look for government to provide the answer we are seeking. Are we, as the church, called to partner with government, or to submit to God? We get a clear visual of what consequences we can expect, when we look at the lives of Samuel and King Saul in 1 Kings. Which one will we choose? There are trying and difficult days ahead. For those who are hired hands, for those who have hired hands over them, difficult days will result in being scattered. We can respond now to the words of Jesus and apply his truths and words to our own hearts. Allow this word to encourage you, as you find peace in the strength and trust in the Lord, and so much more. Greg and John shared in this segment.
