Pastor John Kilpatrick shares how the Land responds to our Sin and our Repentance

Our land reacts to our behavior. If you look at the Bible God says that He will heal our land if His people turn to Him!

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

The land will be healed when we repent! The earth responds to our behavior, and we have seen an increase in sin, and there is an acceptance of sin. Pastor John Kilpatrick explains this on the Jim Bakker Show and gives us a new perspective.

“If you go back and look when Adam sinned the Lord told him that the earth is not going to cooperate with you.”

“It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.” Genesis 3:18

Pastor Kilpatrick continues, “There is a direct correlation between sin and the land.” He talks about when Cain murdered Abel.

“The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.  When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.” Genesis 4:10-12

“The earth was affected by man’s sin.” When Jesus was on the cross and died, the earth was affected. “The earth responds, the earth manifests.”

“At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split.” Matthew 27:51

He continues, “The more sin increases, the more the land will manifest. Filthiness and perversion the more God’s cup of wrath will be filled where it is ready to overflow, and the earth will manifest like crazy. There is a connection, a definite connection between sin and the land…the Bible lists four things that will affect the land…” 1) Shedding of innocent blood, 2) Idolatry, 3) Immorality, fornication, and homosexuality, and 4) Breaking covenant.

Speaking about the shedding of innocent blood, the blood of over 50 million babies that have been murdered through abortion in America, is crying out from the ground!

Next idolatry is putting something else above God. “I will repay them double for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land with the lifeless forms of their vile images and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols.” Jeremiah 16:18

The next thing that affects the land is immorality, fornication, and homosexuality. “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. Even the land was defiled; so, I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.’” Leviticus 18:24-25 What this means is that the land will vomit out its inhabitants because of sexual sin. They point out that a place like Yellowstone could make half of American inhabitable!

“The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.”

Jeremiah 23:10 At the time that they are speaking of this California was in the worst drought in history!

Lastly breaking the covenant, “The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore, earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left.” Isaiah 24:6-7

At the time this was recorded President Barack Obama was in the process of breaking covenant with Israel that America had had for years! Thankfully since that time President Donald Trump has restored the covenant with Israel and has also had the U.S. Embassy moved to Jerusalem.

We must repent and turn from our wicked ways so that God will heal our land! We must also pray for our nation to do the same. God can save our nation. We want to hear from you; you can write to us at [email protected]. Greg shared in this segment.

#WisdomMoments TRUSTED Wounds

In this wisdom moment John shares wisdom about how pain can serve a purpose in our lives.

“Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.” Proverbs 27:6

Normally when we think about a wound, we see it as something that is painful and that it is a negative thing. We may think that pain and hurt should not be associated with our friends. Often we will experience pain and discomfort in our inner self that is important because it will help us grow in our relationship with God and others. Unfortunately, we try to guard ourselves instinctively from pain which when you do that, but it is something that you need to deal with it will stop you from growing spiritually.

John gives an example of a splinter. When you have a splinter, you know that you must get it out otherwise you may get an infection. It is worth the temporary pain as you dig the splinter out than to leave it as it is.

What is a friend? A friend is someone who looks out for your best interest and has your back according to what is right, based on God’s Word. It is someone who will draw you closer to God; encourage you in the Lord. Challenge you in your relationship with God! Therefore, a friend like this can be entrusted to inflict wounds. These wounds are not to damage or hurt us but to cause us to draw closer to God and be healed by Him!

What is an enemy? Anything or anyone getting in between God and His people. An enemy contradicts the Word of God because of this, why do we tolerate an enemy that is around us? Is it because they satisfy our flesh? An enemy of God should never be close enough to kiss us.

Let us choose today to allow the “splinters” in our life to be removed so that we can be closer to God and our family. We want to hear from you! You can write to us at [email protected]. John, Pat, and Chris shared in this segment.
