Abortion is Ending in America; Alabama Strictest Anti-Abortion Law in the Land

At the time of this article, five states in America have signed laws into effect to ban abortion! At VFNKB, we have prayed for years on every program, Dear God, end abortion, send revival, send a third great awakening. Our prayers are being answered, and we are seeing the end of abortion happen in America! We look at each state to see what the governors had to say and the extent of the laws. When abortion stops, we will see revival and a third great awakening come because we believe that this innocent bloodshed must end for this to happen.

Starting with the state of Alabama, Governor Kay Ivey signed an abortion ban into law, “Alabama Human Life Protection Act,” with it being the strictest abortion law in America so far. This bill makes abortion a felony, which is up to 99 years in prison for the abortion provider, no matter the stage of pregnancy. This includes an exception for women’s health if her health is at serious risk, but no exception for race or incest.

Governor Ivey wrote on Twitter, “Today I signed into law the “Alabama Human Life Protection Act.” To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God.” It is exciting to see Alabama set the standard for America to end abortion and to see Roe v Wade challenged which if this bill is revoked then abortion would end in our nation. We must make the womb a safe place for babies because right now, it is the most dangerous place for a baby. Why? Because there have been over 40 generations of human beings murdered in the womb, which is over 60 million babies murdered since 1973. Thank God we are seeing states take the bold initiative to end the murder of innocent lives.

Next, the Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp signed into law “The Living Infants Fairness and Equality Act,” which requires doctors performing abortions to determine if there is a human heartbeat detected in the pregnant mother’s womb and if so, an abortion is unable to be performed. The exceptions are in the cases of rape, incest, or the pregnancy is medically futile, and this is only if the baby is at 20 weeks or less gestation. The bill also protects the baby in the case of, if there are signs of life after the abortion is performed that they must perform medical aid to keep the baby alive. Governor Kemp commented that “Georgia is a state that values life. We protect the innocent; we champion the vulnerable, we stand up and speak for those that are unable to speak for themselves.” This bill being passed produced controversy including in Hollywood where several producers reportedly stated they would no longer film in Georgia. Despite this, the state has stood strong for life no matter the push back they have faced.

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin signed into law the “Fetal Heartbeat Bill” which bans abortion once the baby’s heartbeat is detected in the mother’s womb which can be heard as early as six weeks in pregnancy. Kentucky Senator Matt Castlen comments, “I think the message to send to Kentucky is we are pro-life in Kentucky, and value that over most other things. You have to have your heart right before you get most other things right.” Praise God for another state standing for life and ending innocent bloodshed.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant also signed into law a bill that bans abortion once the fetal heartbeat is detected with the exemption that when a mother faces a life-threatening medical emergency, and the baby can’t be saved. Governor Bryant previously wrote on Twitter, “I’ve often said I want Mississippi to be the safest place for an unborn child in America.”

Finally, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the “Ohio Human Rights and Heartbeat Protection Act” into law which bans abortion once the baby has a detectable heartbeat. Governor DeWine stated, “The essential function of government is to protect the most vulnerable among us – those who do not have a voice. Government’s role should be to protect life from the beginning to the end, to protect those who cannot protect themselves, such as the elderly, the unborn, those who are sick, those who have a disability, those who have a mental illness, or an addiction.” Be encouraged by the fact that state by state, innocent bloodshed is ending; our prayers are being answered!

Is abortion immoral? What is the moral argument for not aborting a child? PragerU looks at the question as to whether ending the life of a baby in the womb is moral, and Dennis Prager answers this question for us. “Let’s talk about one of the most emotionally charged subjects there is — abortion — but in an unemotional way. Also, let’s not touch on the question that most preoccupies discussion of the subject — whether abortion should be legal or illegal. The only question here is the moral one: Is ending the life of a human fetus — moral?

“Let’s begin with this question: Does the human fetus have any value and any rights? Now, it’s a scientific fact that a human fetus is human life. Those who argue that the human fetus has no rights say that a fetus is not a person. But even if you believe that it doesn’t mean the fetus has no intrinsic value or no rights. There are many living beings that are not persons that have both value and rights: Dogs and other animals, for example. And that’s Moral Argument Number One: A living being doesn’t have to be a person in order to have intrinsic moral value and rights.

“When challenged with this argument, people usually change the subject to the rights of the mother — meaning the right of a mother to end her fetus’s life under any circumstance, for any reason, and at any time in her pregnancy. Is that moral? It is only if we believe that the human fetus has no intrinsic worth. But in most cases, nearly everyone believes that the human fetus has essentially infinite worth and an almost absolute right to live. When? When a pregnant woman wants to give birth. Then, society — and its laws — regard the fetus as so valuable that if someone were to kill that fetus, that person could be prosecuted for homicide. Only if a pregnant woman doesn’t want to give birth, do many people regard the fetus as worthless. Now, does that make sense?

“It doesn’t seem to. Either a human fetus has worth, or it doesn’t. And this is Moral Argument Number Two: On what moral grounds does the mother alone decide a fetus’s worth? We certainly don’t do that with regard to a newborn child. It is society, not the mother — or the father — that determines whether a newborn child has worth and a right to live.

“So, the question is: Why should that be different before the human being is born? Why does one person, a mother, get to determine whether that being has any right to live? People respond by saying that a woman has the right to “control her body.” Now, that is entirely correct. The problem here, however, is that the fetus is not “her body;” it is in her body. It is a separate body. And that’s Moral Argument Number Three. No one ever asks a pregnant woman, “How’s your body?” when asking about the fetus. People ask, “How’s the baby?”

“Moral Argument Number Four: Virtually everyone agrees that the moment the baby comes out of the womb, killing the baby is murder. But deliberately killing it a few months before birth is considered no more morally problematic than extracting a tooth. How does that make sense?

“And finally, Moral Argument Number Five: Aren’t there instances in which just about everyone — even among those who are pro-choice — would acknowledge that an abortion might not be moral? For example, would it be moral to abort a female fetus solely because the mother prefers boys to girls — as has happened millions of times in China and elsewhere? And one more example: Let’s say science develops a method of determining whether a child in the womb is gay or straight. Would it be moral to kill a gay fetus because the mother didn’t want a gay child?

“People may offer practical reasons not to criminalize all abortions. People may differ about when personhood begins, and about the morality of abortion after rape or incest. But with regard to the vast majority of abortions — those of healthy women aborting a healthy fetus — let’s be clear. Most of these abortions just aren’t moral. Good societies can survive people doing immoral things. But a good society cannot survive if it calls immoral things moral.”

It is immoral to kill a child, and throughout scripture, in the Bible, we see where God speaks about life in the womb. One scripture speaks of God, forming us in the womb.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
