Robots cooking your hamburgers? Yes, in California robots are making hamburgers! The workforce is changing, and artificial intelligence is being called the new industrial revolution. The first industrial revolution manufacturing put individual workers out of business but with that new jobs were created! The same is happening now; yes technology has and will eliminate many jobs which a recent study at MIT showed that job losses could range from a few million to over a billion! Then a study by Gartner Research showed that 1.8 million jobs would be lost by 2020, due to artificial intelligence but 2.3 million new jobs will be created. If your job is lost due to these changes, there will be another job to replace your income. You will have to learn how to do the new job and be open to new and different jobs.
As mentioned earlier robots are making hamburgers in California, and there is no human interaction. When the human element is gone how will we tell anyone about God? How technology is changing, we can see how the economy can be tracked in a way that we can’t buy or sell without the system. As a Christian though, we do not have to worry about this, and we can take advantage of the time we have to tell others about Jesus and to be the light! We can ask God to give us the wisdom to follow His Spirit because we need wisdom.
