President Nayib Bukele, in his Tucker Carlson interview, explained that MS-13 (Mara Salvatrucha) began in Los Angeles, USA. Salvadorans formed the gang because they were excluded from selling drugs by Mexican gangs. Originally, MS-13 and the 18th Street Gang were part of a broader gang culture. Over time, MS-13 expanded and outgrew other gangs, becoming an international criminal organization with operations in multiple countries, including the United States, Italy, and several Central American nations.
When President Bill Clinton started deporting gang members back to their home countries, these individuals brought the gang culture with them to El Salvador. The deported gang members capitalized on legal protections for minors, recruiting young people to expand their ranks. Initially, the gang’s activities involved typical criminal enterprises like drug dealing and territorial control. However, as they grew in power and influence, they began to engage in increasingly violent and satanic rituals, which included human sacrifices.
