How did God, Faith, and Prayer play a key role in taking El Salvador from the mast dangerous nation in the world, to the most peaceful nation in the world according to President Nayib Bukele

by

In the interview with Tucker Carlson, President Nayib Bukele emphasizes the pivotal role of faith, prayer, and a belief in divine intervention in transforming El Salvador from one of the most dangerous countries in the world to one of the safest.

Here are the key points illustrating how God, faith, and prayer were instrumental in this transformation:

  1. Miraculous Change: Bukele repeatedly describes the transformation of El Salvador as a miracle. He acknowledges the official strategy involving phases to combat crime but stresses that the real success came from divine intervention.
  2. Spiritual War: Bukele highlights that the gangs, especially MS-13, were not only criminal but also involved in satanic rituals. He presents the fight against these gangs as both a physical and a spiritual war. Winning the spiritual war, which was against a force he identifies as evil, was crucial to their success in the physical realm.
  3. Prayer for Wisdom and Guidance: During moments of crisis, particularly when the gangs killed 87 people in three days, Bukele and his cabinet turned to prayer. They prayed for wisdom, guidance, and a way to win the war against the gangs without causing civilian casualties. He believes that their prayers were answered, as they managed to achieve their objectives without civilian harm.
  4. Belief Among Leaders: Bukele mentions that his entire security cabinet are believers in God, suggesting a collective faith underpinning their actions and decisions. This shared belief system provided a foundation of unity and purpose.
  5. Seeking God’s Wisdom: In his inaugural address, Bukele stated that seeking God’s wisdom is the first point in his plan for economic growth. He believes that divine guidance is essential for wise decision-making and for achieving lasting success and peace in the country.
  6. A Higher Purpose: Bukele implies that their work goes beyond human efforts and is part of a larger divine plan. This belief gives them strength and motivation, knowing they are part of something greater than themselves.

Overall, President Bukele’s narrative is that the profound changes in El Salvador are not just the result of strategic planning and execution but are deeply rooted in a collective faith, prayer, and a battle against spiritual as well as physical evils. This spiritual dimension, according to Bukele, was critical in achieving the dramatic reduction in violence and establishing peace in the country.
