Home » Superhuman Soldiers: The Future of AI in Combat and Law Enforcement, Palmer Lucky

When Palmer Luckey founded Oculus, he took a leap that cannot be overstated. Today, he envisions a future where AI and technology are embedded in every facet of military operations.

“I don’t just want this on every person carrying a rifle; I want it on every logistician, every loadmaster, every rotary-wing pilot, every fixed-wing pilot,” he said. “I want it deployed with everybody across every service, every branch, so that each person becomes eyes for everyone else.”

This vision means every soldier, regardless of their role, will be interconnected. AI will provide shared intelligence across the battlefield, making warfighters more effective and situationally aware than ever before.

AI in Law Enforcement

The integration of AI won’t stop with the military. Law enforcement agencies will also see significant advancements.

“With police, you’re trying to make something they can wear all day, every day, while interacting face-to-face with people,” Luckey explains. “You can’t put a Robocop helmet on most police officers… But the software backend will certainly innovate.”

Police AI systems will likely take a more discreet form—think high-tech Oakleys with built-in location awareness and threat detection. Enhanced body cameras will go beyond mere documentation; they will act as a guardian angel, identifying threats in real time and providing proactive protection.

“Imagine not just eyes in the back of your head, but a hundred eyes all around, looking out into the world. If someone is opening a window and aiming a gun, it shouldn’t just say, ‘Be aware someone might shoot you.’ It should throw a red threat alert and show you exactly where to dive for cover.”

The Fully Integrated Combat Helmet

Luckey’s company, Anduril, is working on a revolutionary combat helmet that seamlessly integrates AI, sensors, and augmented vision.

“What I’m building is an all-in-one integrated ballistic shell that combines hearing protection, hearing augmentation, vision protection, and vision augmentation into one seamless product,” he revealed.

By the end of March, the first fully integrated helmet will be operational. This helmet will allow soldiers to digitally mark targets, see through walls via shared intelligence, and receive real-time battlefield data from drones, satellites, and other warfighters.

“If a drone overhead sees a guy five kilometers out climbing a hill to pop you, it notifies you. You look at him cresting that hill, bring your rifle on target, and take out the threat the moment he clears it.”

Man and Machine as One

The battlefield will see an unprecedented level of AI-human collaboration. Robots, drones, and soldiers will work together seamlessly.

“Imagine you see a guy running around a building, lose sight of him, and can’t deal with him because you’re busy. What if I can task a robot to stay on him, ensuring he doesn’t get into a firing position?” Luckey explains.

This AI-driven coordination will drastically reduce human error and increase efficiency. Soldiers won’t have to waste time tracking every potential threat manually—AI will watch every window, every door, and alert them only when necessary.

A New Era of Tactical Awareness

One of the most groundbreaking capabilities of these AI-powered systems will be their ability to assist in high-stakes operations, such as the infamous bin Laden raid.

“Instead of relying on facial recognition, I’d set up drones around the site with wall-penetrating radar systems, flooding the area with RF energy to see people moving behind walls. If I can do that, I can guess who’s who.”

The technology will identify patterns of behavior, tracking movement, and distinguishing between threats and non-combatants. Rather than relying on flawed facial recognition, AI will combine multiple factors—including skeletal recognition and hyperspectral markers—to make more accurate identifications.

Ethical Dilemmas: Selling to Civilians

While Luckey is passionate about civilian rights, he recognizes the dangers of making this technology available to the general public.

“Anything I sell to civilians, I’m effectively selling to Chinese Special Forces or Russian commandos,” he admitted. “They might not outfit their whole force, but it’ll get to a traitorous American eventually.”

To mitigate this risk, Anduril may develop a limited civilian version that excludes military-grade tactical AI. The challenge lies in maintaining national security while upholding the freedoms that technology can provide.

The Prophetic Dream: A Warning for the Future

On March 3, 2021, Greg Lancaster was given a prophetic dream where the Lord showed him this coming rise of AI-human integration in society.

The Classroom of Disrespect

In the dream, Lancaster saw a university classroom where students showed no respect for their professor. The moment the professor transformed into a towering cyborg, the same students who had ignored him suddenly gave him their full attention.

“They wouldn’t listen to a human being—but they would listen to a human merged with technology. A cyborg.”

The Rise of AI Loyalty

Lancaster’s vision extended beyond the classroom. Stepping into the hallway, he encountered law enforcement officers.

“As a former law enforcement officer myself, I immediately recognized how difficult it would be to maintain order in a world where artificial intelligence, humanoids, and cyborgs were involved.”

When he voiced his concerns, an officer reassured him, “Oh, we have ours too.” Law enforcement would have its own AI-enhanced enforcers.

AI as the Ultimate Authority

The implications of this dream align with Luckey’s technological advancements. Society is becoming more willing to submit to machines over human leadership.

“The next generation—our children—might not listen to their parents, but they will listen to their phones. They won’t listen to authority, but they will listen to AI.”

The Biblical Connection

This AI revolution ties directly into biblical prophecy:

“[The beast economy] also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark…” (Revelation 13:16-18)

What Luckey is building may soon be seen as an upgrade to the human body itself. People won’t just carry their phones; they will integrate them into their very being.

Lancaster’s dream and Luckey’s innovations confirm a reality that is rapidly approaching. AI-driven augmentation will reshape military strategy, law enforcement, and even personal identity.

The question is—will society embrace this future blindly, or will we consider its consequences before it’s too late?
