As we continue our conversation regarding our much needed awareness of America’s history, there was a reason why the 3rd President of America, Thomas Jefferson, responded to the captive American slaves by creating the U.S. Navy. During one of America’s first wars, President Jefferson had to defend American citizens from Islamic Pirates. Amidst the events being part of history, one of the first actions President Obama carried out when he took the Office of Presidency, was to carry out an Apology Tour for what America had carried out in it’s past. Before all of this took place, President Obama sent a bust of Winston Churchill, the bust that was loaned to President Bush on the heels of the events of 9/11, back to Great Britain.
