As we look across the landscape of the world, there are beautiful areas in every area of the world; mountains, beaches, rolling hills, islands and so much more! In this creation, there are more than 7 billion people that reside on the Earth. Why is it, with all of these people, of all the different areas of land, Israel is repeatedly in the news? To look even deeper; why is Jerusalem such a point of interest for the nations of the world? Why does this matter? This is God’s land and the Jewish people are God’s people. The Bible says in Joel 3:2 “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.” As we read these words, we get a stark reality of the times that we are in when we look at the decisions that this current administration has done toward the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
On March 3rd, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu will be travelling to
the United States to speak to Congress. This is a critical juncture. Church, we have a responsibility to stand with the Jewish people, to stand with Benjamin Netanyahu and to stand with Israel. What will we do? To refuse to make a choice is to make a choice. The time for silence cannot endure any longer. It is time for us to be bold in our allegiance for Israel and for God. Hear the beacon call of what is taking place and so much more.
