In this VFNKBSuccess Secret we see a Millennial interviewed and it shows us how not to get a job. In this video we see what we believe has been created by college campuses, that Millennials can act entitled. We have been raised in a culture that one deserves a job versus working hard to get a job. When in a job interview you want to be interested in the interviewer not focused on yourself. Put your phone away and tell the interviewer that you are dependable and will show up on time. Reportedly a Fortune 100company said their #1 reason employees are fired is because they can’t show up to work on time. To help with this it is a good practice to sleep for 7-8 hours a night which will help your brain get the rest it needs. Another thing you need to have is emotional intelligence which is defined as: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Emotional intelligence is the key to both personal and professional success. Your boss doesn’t need to know everything about your personal life. When you come to work your boss expects you to work with a smile on your face. Just because no one else is doing their job doesn’t mean you should follow them. Ephesians 6:7 says, “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.” You will stand out if you are doing your job and God will reward for doing that. Also Jesus asks us to go beyond what we are asked to do. Matthew 5:41 “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.” We want to hear from you, what are your thoughts about this interview?
