We Have A Choice: Humility or Humiliation Let me share first my personal understanding of prophecy in light of statements that often confuse or distort the definition of real prophecy. I believe that true prophets sometimes predict future acts and events or consequences. These messages can be alarming or refreshing, but they are always intended by God to give life or improve life. CONSIDER READING THIS MESSAGE AGAIN EACH WEEK
and
PRAYING DAILY CONCERNING THE ISSUES ADDRESSED.
For all to bow before God in humility and not wait to fall before Him in humiliation. For all in authority to have wisdom to make the right decisions and the resolve to stand by them. For the family of faith and all who love freedom to search their own hearts and turn from evil. For the enemy to be turned from deadly intent and acts, and their plans and deceptive practices to be exposed, thereby nullifying their actions and protecting the innocent. For the ultimate defeat of all terrorist activities. For peace in our hearts and on earth. For America and the free world not only to enjoy the fruit of prosperity, but also to compassionately and consistently share their blessings with others. For the Christian church family to live in oneness with God and the unity of the Spirit that Jesus prayed for, so the world will know we are truly His disciples and He is revealed through us as the ever-living Lord of all.
James Robison, Founder & President of LIFE OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL Having accepted Christ as his Savior at age 14, James began speaking in churches in 1962, which soon led to over 600 city-wide crusades and conferences attended by more than 20 million people. In 1968, the James Robison Evangelistic Association launched a TV ministry. In later years, the ministry name was changed to LIFE Outreach International because James wanted the organization to be purpose-centered. The ministry changed the format of its television program, “LIFE TODAY,” to make it more interactive. James and Betty co-host the program, which can be seen in more than 200 million households in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and in many other countries, and more people are coming to Christ in a single year than in James’ first 20 years of ministry. Much of the ministry’s focus is in other parts of the world, 40 nations and growing. LIFE Outreach helps feed 375,000 children in crisis areas throughout Africa. The ministry has also drilled more than a thousand fresh water wells throughout Africa and in 20 other developing nations. James and Betty have three children and 11 grandchildren, and they make their home in the Fort Worth, Texas area.
WHAT LEADERS ARE SAYING: “When one uses the term prophetic, it is a ‘high risk’ word. But what I have read here from James Robison’s pen has all the marks of a prophetic voice. The risk we take is in not heeding it.” — Ravi Zacharias “James, with this wise, sensitive and piercing ‘word,’ you have sounded a trumpet call to repentance without sounding melodramatic. Sobering concern is registered, but hope is still offered. This isn’t an ordinary word: It is without redundancy and packed with pungency. Speak it, print it, spread it.” — Dr. Jack Hayford “Finally, my friend James tells it like it is. When we are in the exalting business, we force God to be in the humbling business. There is still time to return to God in humility, but time is short.” — Dr. Tony Evans “James Robison is sharing a message every Christian in America needs to consider. I believe this message is a prophetic word which can encourage real revival and help to preserve our future as a nation under God. Read it and reap.” — Dr. Jack Graham “What James describes has solid basis and clear precedent in Scripture. We don’t want to hear a warning any more than did the people of God in the days of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Hosea; but God’s directives for humility and the pursuit of holiness do not waver. We are still on this side of terrible repercussions for the carnality that has overtaken our nation and permeated much of the church. We still have time to humble ourselves and pray. To turn from our sinful ways and seek God’s face. I wonder if perhaps these are days for the people of God, as a whole, to go facedown. For any who will, I’ll meet you on the floor.” — Beth Moore “I believe James Robison has a prophetic word that the body of Christ needs to hear and respond to. Even though it’s a hard word, he offers hope.” — Stephen Strang “Like the prophets of old, James Robison has a burden and message for this country. His passionate cry for repentance and revival is rooted in his love for people and conviction that we must return to God and seek His ways. We must heed this call.” — Ruth Graham “You [James] wrote a completely inspiring piece that all Christians should consume, and as you often so admirably do, you have addressed the subject matter to those who are without faith. That is vital because that’s where the lines are going to be drawn when push comes to shove and prophecy comes true — who believes and who doesn’t? I haven’t run across anyone who addresses those issues as skillfully, and kindly, as you have.” — Mark Davis Talk Show Host WBAP/Dallas-Fort Worth and ABC Radio; Columnist, Dallas Morning News “Mr. Robison’s message of entreaty is sane, balanced, as accurate as a laser. It bears the urgency of a quiet authority. Its key watchword is the emphasized ‘We will bow before God, or be broken before God’ — a word that needs to be sounded out to our nation, its people and its leaders. God grant your ministry a megaphone for the wide sounding out of his thoroughly timely warning.” — John McCandlish Phillips Former New York Times Reporter “Permission is expressly granted to any person who wishes to download, print, and distribute this document for his or her personal use as long as it is replicated in its entirety and is not sold for this or other commercial purposes.” PWDV |
