One Man Waters, One Man Plants, BUT GOD is the ONLY ONE Who Makes it Grow
Greg shares with us that when you start to do something for God you need to be careful that you are not doing for yourself. The Corinthian church had a problem with measuring themselves and the Apostle Paul addresses this in 1 Corinthians 3:1-9. He goes on to share with us that an insecure man feels less than if he doesn’t have a large quantity of stuff or a large ministry. This is pride and if they were ever to get more they would esteem themselves higher. You are not what you do. The Lord has given us each a task, one man waters, one man plants, but God is the only one who makes it grow. We must never judge our ministry by the harvest we reap but rather by the seeds we’ve sown. The harvest belongs to the Lord. We are all workers in the same field. The harvest has nothing to do with us we are to just continually sow the seeds of the gospel.
Are we going to acknowledge God?
Greg, Chris and John discuss whether we will acknowledge God? Chris talks about Psalms 5 and the faithfulness of God when we cry out to Him. God wants us to cry out to Him and wait with expectation for his answer. David cried out to God and God gave him the victory. The also discussed when King Hezekiah cried out to God when the Assyrian King Sennacherib in 2 Chronicles 32 was attacking Judah and tried to get them to doubt God. Hezekiah cried out to God and God sent an angel and annihilated the king of Assyria’s army. Faith without works is dead. Don’t trust in your strength, money or even in your home. Trust God and acknowledge God.
Living to Hear the Words: Well done my good and faithful Servant
John, Pat and Chris discuss having a fruitful life in God and continue to discuss the joy a Christian can have knowing that everything they do for the Lord will not only be a blessing in this life but in the life to come. What we do for God always has eternal significance. They encourage to get activated in the things of the Lord and of his Kingdom. They encourage us to live for eternity and to imagine the great joy one will experience when they see in heaven all the people who made it to heaven because of their witness and labors for Jesus. Live like Jesus can come back any moment and work in the kingdom as if He is not going to come back in a hundred years. They encourage us to live and work in the Kingdom in such a way so that you can hear those faithful words; well done my good and faithful servant.
