While Saeed remains in captivity, his family put together a prayer vigil in Washington D.C.. Franklin Graham, son of Evangelist Billy Graham, Jay Sekulow of the ACLJ, and Christian supporters were present to show their prayerful support of Christians throughout the world who are being persecuted. Imprisoned for his Christian faith, Saeed Abedini has suffered persecution of beatings, lack of medical care and malnutrition at the hands of his captors in Evin prison. According to CBN, this vigil in Washington D.C. was one of more than 500 vigils throughout the world within 30 countries”. It is encouraging to see those standing up for the injustices happening to those being persecuted for their faith in Christ.
