Intimacy with GOD: Ministering to the Audience of ONE

LISTEN NOW! John, Steve and Pat discuss intimacy with God and how can two walk together less they be agreed; Amos 3:3.  They continue to ask us; how can we truly say we are walking with God if we are not connected with Him?  Many Christians today are trying to get God to bless what they are doing instead doing what God is blessing.  They are trying to lead the Lord instead of the Lord leading them.  One is being done in pride and the other is humility.  It is not enough to be present but we must be engaged with the Lord.  The Bible says that when people get married that the two shall become one.  If this is true how much more should we be united with God.  In fact 1 Corinthians 6:17 says that…” he who unites himself with the Lord is one spirit with Him.”  God invites us to have as much of Him as we want.  The question is how much do we want of Him.   We must always remember let the main thing be the main thing and to never let what matters least to compromise what matters most.  Our time with the Lord is everything and we should be content ministering to the audience of one; God.
No Place for Selfish AmbitionJohn, Pat and Steve discuss a recent article in Charisma Magazine; Why You Must Kill Your Ambitions.  The Bible tells us in Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. The dictionary defines ambition as eager or strong desire to achieve something, such as fame or power.  God calls us to do the right thing, in the right way and even the right thing done in the wrong way is still the wrong thing.  God has plans for us but they will happen according to his plan and timing and not our own.  There is a season of preparation and testing we must all undergo and we must not get ahead of God and try to fulfill what God has called us to in our own strength.  The word of God tells us in James 3:16 “For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you will find, disorder and every evil practice.”
