In America, we have seen many changes to the funding of Planned Parenthood and abortion. President Donald Trump and his administration stopped the funding that was going to abortion clinics and is now funding pro-life clinics which educate a mother on the baby and pregnancy. This is exciting and a huge answer to prayer! We need to celebrate this great victory and continue praying for the complete ending of abortion in America.
The Trump administration just announced that it is awarding a $1.7 million family planning grant to the Obria Group which is a chain of California crisis pregnancy centers that oppose abortion. The CEO and founder of the Obria Group, Kathleen Eaton Bravo said concerning this grant, “Many women want the opportunity to visit a professional, comprehensive health care facility, not an abortion clinic, for their health care needs; this grant will give them that choice.” According to a press release, Obria Group offers many different services including, pregnancy testing, counseling, prenatal care, ultrasounds, cancer testing, and more. This will provide a safe place for women to visit and be shown the truth that the baby in their womb is a baby!
Live Action, a pro-life organization, has worked tirelessly to bring the truth of what abortion is to the forefront of American society and even the world! One project they have done is to interview people on the street and to ask them what their beliefs are concerning abortion. It is amazing to watch how people who are pro-choice change their minds once they see the reality of what abortion is and get educated on the abortion procedure. This is one of those encounters. A woman is asked what her thoughts are about abortion. “I feel like it’s kind of a tricky subject, but I believe it’s personal. Me, you know, I think it just depends on, you know, the situation.”
She clarifies that she is pro-choice. She answers the question concerning whether she supports any limitation on what trimester abortion is done in and she says that if the baby, she then corrects herself and says fetus, can’t feel anything and won’t suffer then she thinks it should be fine at any point.
She watches a video next that explains a second-trimester abortion procedure and is asked her thoughts after watching it. “It was really graphic…I didn’t realize that the fetus would be so big. So then just kind of seeing it being, like, ripped apart, and piece by piece, it just, it’s kind of unsettling…like I said, I was shocked at how big it was, I thought it would be way smaller…”
Next, she is asked what her comfort level with abortion is now, and she says that once the baby is that size in the second trimester that she feels like the baby could feel being ripped apart. She is in shock as she is talking about how terrible abortion is. She is also asked to look at a picture of babies in the first trimester and what week she thinks a cutoff point should be. As you listen to her, she changes from week ten to week six because she could see that the baby was a baby and commented on how she could see the fingers and the brain developing. Because she saw the truth, she changed her mind completely on abortion!
Young people in America are not being taught the truth anymore in their 12 years in school and in our universities! Once people see the truth of abortion, they are changing their minds so we need this truth to get out for everyone to see so that we can end abortion in our nation! What do you think about this?
