As we begin this new year, encouragement comes when we decide to dismiss the happenings of yesterday and yesteryear, and allow them to simply remain in the past. When we turn our attention from the past, and onto the future plans that God has, our outlook greatly changes. When Cindy Jacobs shared just some of the prophetic words the Lord revealed to her about this new year of 2018, she spoke about how we need to respond to our future in this year.
“This is the year that you will possess the gates of your future.” Jacobs points to Genesis 22:17-18 that speaks dually of how God will bless us. We must respond to God with expectancy to move in a way that we could never imagine. “If you don’t have faith for God to do greater things, you’re not going to see greater things.” Now is the time to resolve in your heart and regarding every matter of your life that “this year is going to be different”. Jacobs continues to explain how to respond when the devil attacks you, your family, your home, and all that is important to you. There is a way that we can live our lives that the devil will think twice about sending attacks our way.
