NY Supreme Court Overturns Mayor Bloomberg Soda Ban
John, Pat, and Chris share how the NY Supreme court judge Milton Tingling overturned Mayor Bloomberg’s soda ban. Mayor Bloomberg banned all sugary drinks larger than 16 ounces. According to the Blaze “the judge also said Mayor Bloomberg stepped outside the boundaries of his authority when he presented the Board of Health- which is solely appointed by him- with the ban.” John Chris and Pat continue to discuss how thankful they are for the judicial system we have that protects citizens from rogue politicians that want to infringe upon the rights of citizens.
Four Things that not even Steve Jobs could buy
John, Pat, and Chris share about four things no amount of money can buy. They discuss how one man Steve Jobs was an extraordinary entrepreneur that impacted four major industries and grew a company that he founded with a friend to a leading global company that has affected how we watch movies, listen to music and communicate with the world. At the time of Steve Jobs death it was estimated that he was worth 6.5 to 7 billion dollars. Yet with such a large amount of money at his disposal he still couldn’t buy four things.
Christians in Pakistan Persecuted: 200 homes Burned Down
John, Pat, and Chris discuss recent reporting by CBN that Christians in Pakistan are being persecuted and 200 of them have had their homes burned. The Christians are being persecuted by Muslims. They remind us of the VFNRadio segment entitled JJ, Jesus and Jews on Christians preaching that Jesus, the Son of God, is the only way to God and that is seen as adversarial to the Koran where Mohamed writes that Jesus is not the Son of God and that He will have to come back and repent for calling Himself the Son of God. They encourage us to pray for the persecuted church in Pakistan to have grace to endure the persecution and for the Kingdom of God to rapidly spread through Pakistan with millions giving their hearts to Jesus.
Hold what God has Given you Loosely; He wants to Bless you with more
Pat, John, and Chris encourage us to hold what God has given us loosely. They continue to share about the rich young ruler in Luke 18 and how he held on tightly to his wealth instead of being willing to let it go to follow God and inherit more of what God had for him. If we hold tight to what the Lord has given us and are not open to let it go, how can God ever give us more?
