You’ve Got to step out from what you’ve been depending on so you can depend on God
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how important it is to step out from what you have been depending on so you can depend on God. They continue to discuss how Jesus walked on water in the midst of the storm and ask Peter to walk out to Him. We will find the Lord when we seek Him with our whole heart. Peter refused to stay in the boat when Jesus asked him to come to him which involved walking on the water. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6. Jesus tapped into something in Peter that he didn’t know was inside of him. Greg challenges us to step outside of what we are depending on and seek the Lord and He will be found.
2nd Amendment is in the SUPREME LAW of the Land: The Constitution
Greg, John, and Pat talk about how the Supreme Court in the land says the constitution grants United States Citizens the right to arm themselves meaning, it’s absolutely legal. It’s not what others are trying to make it about, hunting. President Obama is weighing 19 different gun control measures that he could take effect without congressional approval according to fox news. The 2nd Amendment allows you to arm yourself to defend yourself. Often times the police arrive to the scene after the disturbance is over. We need to build community and stand for our rights.
Dr. King Shows us how to Honor God and the Constitution as the law of the Land
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. showed us how to honor God and the Constitution as the law of the land. We need to know how to respond to all that is going on around us. Dr. King saw injustice where black men and women were treated differently because of the color of their skin. For instance they were not allowed to drink out of the same water fountains as white people. At one point he decided to be a pioneer. He started in his church and then began to share with the rest of the country. Dr. King showed us how we can peacefully honor God and the Law of the land when standing for justice, in the midst of dogs being sent to attack them. He allowed the justice system to work. The ends don’t justify the means. For Christians the “means” are everything because Jesus already took care of the end on the cross. They encourage us to get a pocket constitution and defend it.
