Re –thinking Church Revisited

by

LISTEN NOW! John and Pat discuss a previous broadcast segment that relates to the very reason why we need to rethink how “church” is presently being done.  In view of the startling statistics shared, 18% of self-identified Christians claim to be totally committed to investing in their own spiritual development.  The structure of the church is family.  We can “make” it if we understand this important concept of how the church is to function.

Greg, Pat, and John talk about how the present day expression of the majority of the American church is not allowing believers to build authentic relationships with each other and the Lord.  Believers are encouraged to begin to intentionally build relationships with a few other believers to walk out the true Church expression as Jesus set the example for us to follow.  The statistics for pastors say 50% of pastors feel unable to meet the needs of their job; 70% of pastors say they now have lower self-esteem today than they did when they first started ministry; 80% of pastors believe the pastoral ministry has affected their family negatively and more.
