Prophetic Word!  CIVIL WAR? Transitions of Power – How Long Does It Take? America – Venezuela!

Five Things We Will Learn

  1. The difference between wars between nations and civil war within a nation—and why civil war is like “family fighting family.”
  2. Why the real question in a national crisis is often: how long does it take for power to transition, and what that costs.
  3. How Venezuela’s collapse into socialism illustrates the pain of bad choices—and why pain often drives people back to righteous decisions.
  4. Why an “instant generation” with shortened attention spans struggles to endure long transitions—and why God’s ways do not change.
  5. How Saul and David reveal a biblical timeline for transition—and why the question isn’t only “how long,” but how much pain it takes before people listen to God.

A Timely Prophetic Message About Civil War and Transition

This prophetic word was shared August 2019 by Greg Lancaster.  I can’t wait to share this prophetic message. It’s so timely—when the Lord gave it to me, I knew we were right on the edge of it. This message is about civil war.

When you think about wars in general, that’s normally nation against nation. But civil war is different. It’s not like the Hatfields and McCoys—it’s the Hatfields in the Hatfields, or the McCoys in the McCoys. It’s civil war within the nation.

God began to speak to me about this. I’ve talked about it and revealed details, but the big question is this: how long does it take for power to transition? That’s the big thing, right? Because all of a sudden—when siblings and family members, when nations start fighting within themselves—they want to know: Who’s going to be the ones in power?

Well, how long does that take? That’s exactly what we’re going to write about in this article.

So if you have your Bibles, open them, swipe them, turn them—look at them—whatever you want to do to access the Word of God. And I want to speak to you today. We’re going to learn something. I’m going to teach something the Lord has put on my heart that’s happening right now in our world.

And most people are not paying attention to what’s going on. They don’t understand the season we’re in. They don’t understand the times we’re in. And they’re going to be so surprised when what happens, happens—because so many things are taking place.

When you look at the nations of the world—there are 190 to 195 nations in the world—each has powers over it, whatever their government is. And there’s not only the physical realm, but also the spiritual realm. But then there comes a time when that person will not be in power anymore, and a transition of power takes place.

Some people are sad to see leadership transition out—like Hezekiah, you know. They’re sad to see leaders like that transitioning out, and different leadership coming in. Other people are very glad—especially if the current leadership has been oppressive. They’re glad to see you go, right? Transition of power.

Quite often, sometimes that happens. When I wasn’t a believer, I was under one power. But when I got saved, there was a transition of power that took place. It was sudden. It was instant. I was ripped out of the world, if that makes sense. I was in the world—so there was a war going on for my very soul. And God won. Hallelujah. Right?

And the question is always: how long does it take for a transition of power?

You get in the car with your kids, you’re going to go on a trip somewhere, and the first thing they say—two blocks out of the driveway—is, “Are we there yet?” Right? “Are we there yet?”

I don’t know. Google Maps hasn’t told me. No—so they don’t say that.

So look at 1 Samuel, chapter 3—1 Samuel 3:31. And we’re going to talk about this. But first of all, look at the state of the nation. We’re talking about civil war and transition of power. How long does it take for transitions of power?

The State of the Nation: Venezuela, America, and the World

Venezuela. The new president-elect is there—Juan Guaidó—and he’s standing up as a brave man in the midst of civil war. Civil war means your family is at war with each other. It’s a different kind of war. You have war—country against country, nation against nation. But a civil war means the Joneses are fighting each other. Does that make sense?

It’s not the Hatfields and McCoys—it’s actually the McCoys and the McCoys, and the Hatfields and the Hatfields. So civil war is very sad, because that’s a moment in time where the family’s going, “We’re divided. Things are not going well.” One part of the family says, “We think there needs to be a new form of leadership.” The other part says, “It doesn’t need to be.”

When we talk about the state of the nation, it’s pretty interesting right now. We’re at a trade war as we speak. China has been stealing from us for years. They gained their wealth by stealing our intellectual property. If you want to do business in China, you have to tell them all your company secrets and how your company operates. And people, if they’re doing business there, they’ve given over their stuff to China.

China knows more about you, probably, than our own country—because they have a better driver’s license database about Texas, for example, than we actually have ourselves. They’ve been tracking us and gathering our data.

We’re at war. We’re at a war—but it’s a different kind of war. It’s hegemony. Hegemony means people want to rule the world. You think people wouldn’t want to rule it, but they want to rule. It’s crazy. The czars—Lucifer’s around. He’ll take over people who are greedy and idolatrous and want to rule the world.

While that’s going on, North Korea is beginning to fire rockets again. Rockets that can reach the West Coast—up and down the West Coast. They have a satellite that comes over America every single… whatever the rotation is—24 hours. And all that has to happen is an EMP to go off, and you could take out a third of America’s ability to function—simultaneously.

We have Iran, where reports are that they’re going to attack some of our people somewhere in the earth—and they’re going to attack Israel. So what are we doing? The USS… of all the carriers, they’re taking the USS Lincoln and sitting it off the coast of Iran. Lincoln was the one who oversaw the Civil War—to go sit off the coast. You have the big fleet out here.

And it’s a real narrow place they’re going in—to basically show strength and say, “Listen, Iran—you don’t want to fire any missiles, because if you do, we’re going to turn this sand to glass.” That’s what Reagan said when he was in.

So we’re at a point where they still could do it—because when you’re controlled by darkness, their goal is chaos, because they believe… (and I’m going to say this carefully)… Muslims do not believe Jesus is the Son of God. They believe there is a being that’s going to come out—like the “twelfth man” or something—come out of a hole in the ground. And he’s got to put a mark on people, and they say it’s a good thing. It’s the antithesis of the gospel.

So they believe chaos will release that being—which is… a beast… the mark of the beast. And so it’s the antithesis of peace. They’re not trying to keep things peaceful—they’re trying to go the other way.

The Iranian people are wonderful people. The church is growing rapidly in Iran—undercover—and it’s the government that needs a transition of power. They needed a transition of power. They were ready to transition power under the previous administration. They were in the streets. One of our journalists got raped in the streets trying to report the stories.

Related:

The one’s standing up, they say—and the media has lost their mind. And they wrote a letter. The Iranian Green Party wrote a letter to the Americans and said, “Please help us. We want to transition power.” So, these problems we have today wouldn’t be happening.

But guess what? It sat on President Obama’s desk—untouched, unresponded to. So, while they were responding to the Arab Spring uprisings everywhere else—while Iran was going, “We want a new government too”—America did not respond.

So, we have to pray that people will believe this president will respond—who this president will respond. Because that was the previous president prior to Trump.

The Monroe Doctrine, Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela

There was the Monroe Doctrine. How many people know about the Monroe Doctrine? The Monroe Doctrine says you don’t come in the Western Hemisphere with any of your military. You don’t come over here. You don’t bring your ships over here. You don’t bring your subs over here. You don’t bring your ideas over here. It’s called the Monroe Doctrine.

Well, guess what? Right now, all of our southern borders down here and Venezuela—you actually have Russia parked off the coast of Venezuela. You have Cuba down there. Cuba’s right—90 miles off of Florida—but also they’re south of Venezuela.

And a congressman—who’s not in Congress anymore—his name is Jeff Miller. I was talking to him, and we were at a Jewish fellowship at the time. We were listening to something we couldn’t even talk about, because our media did not report it. So we had to just listen to it.

But this is what the congressman said. He said, “Venezuela has missiles that can reach America – it’s getting scarier and scarier.”

“What can you expound on that a little bit? What do you know that we don’t know?”

That was prior to the civil war in Venezuela. That was prior to Russia coming in. And Hamas—or the vice president of Venezuela—is somehow tied into Hamas, which is coming up—uprising against Israel.

And it’s crazy. And they’re in the Western Hemisphere. They’re just south of us. North Korea is doing what they’re doing. Our borders—they’re pushing a thousand people, thousands of people—almost 100,000 people a month—from other places.

In the city of Pensacola, we have 60,000 people. Most cities have under 100,000. Most are small—40,000, 50,000. But guess what? We have 100,000 coming in a month. People breaking into our country illegally. And they’re putting a thousand people a day into a city a day—which means 30,000 people a month—which is, by the way, the Cloward-Piven model of the sixties to crash the system.

Related:

Can you imagine a thousand people coming to your house a day, and then tomorrow another thousand? They’re just going to crash you.

Churches—churches with compassion—want to help. But how can you help when thousands come in the next day? Churches are crashing. Everybody’s playing games, watching Netflix, talking about something silly. They got so tired of lying news, they don’t pay attention anymore.

So the state of the nation is very alert. It’s actually good, because of who we have as a leader—because President Donald Trump (45th President) is saying, “Knock it off. Stop it. Everybody get back within your borders.” Everybody needs to be a sovereign nation. If you want to come to any nation, you need to come legally.

The lie of saying somebody can break the law to come into your country because they’re going through a hard time—it’s like this: You’re in Texas right now, living payday to payday. It’s getting really tough. Business didn’t come through. You’re crashing. You don’t know if you’re going to make it. You’re hurting too, right?

So if somebody who’s not in your country is hurting and they can break the law and come into your country, why can’t you go to the bank up the street—because you’re hurting—and just rob the bank? They’d put you in jail.

They’re giving benefits to people from other countries coming to our nation. So it’s a time for us to realize: don’t buy into the lie. People are trying to crash our system. We have to have walls. We want people to come. We got more jobs than we have people. But you need to come in legally.

I know people right now in Pakistan who would be great citizens, who would love to come. But right now people are breaking the laws coming in, and legal people can’t come into the country.

Prophetic Warnings: Cuba, Russia, and Fire on the Coast

So what’s the state of the nation prophetically speaking? Well, prophetically, Brett Holder and Johnny Foote both saw Cuba and Russia flying aircraft—prophetically—up Florida and coming up the coast.

What’s happening right now? Russia is trying to cut a deal with Cuba, and they’re merging. After Venezuela—a civil war down there—you’re looking at this very well could begin to happen.

And then Russian aircraft and Cuban aircraft were flying in and out, and the buildings of Miami were on fire. I saw them flying. Johnny Foote, a prophet, saw Russian soldiers coming up the coast.

Related:

So everybody thinks it can’t happen until it happens. And when it happens, you can’t believe it happened—for at least 90 days. And it’s like, “It happened now.” It’s no longer “going to happen.”

Some people think about making things happen. Some people make things happen. And most people just wonder what happened.

Right? That’s how it works. But if you stay alert and prophetic, you can listen to what God’s saying.

So we’re seeing this across the world. Remember Dumitru Duduman—his word: there will be a surge. Something will happen in the middle of the United States, and everybody’s attention will go to it. All the resources will go to it. And as everybody is focusing on that, all of a sudden our nuclear power plants will be hit, and there’ll be fires across America.

Related:

Well, that can happen. Hundreds of thousands of people are surging to the center of the United States. You have all our resources going there. All the media is there. All the attention is there.

Why? We got 50 states, 350 million people, and borders everywhere. Fentanyl is coming in—fentanyl that could kill half the population of America just by dropping it in the ventilation system of aircraft—and China sending that.

Related:

So that word—Dmitry Duduman spoke it in front of the Senate. Russia’s off the south. Cuba’s sitting out there. Venezuela is in civil war. Hundreds of thousands of people are being pushed in. All our resources are going right now—and people are watching Netflix, heads buried in the sand of denial.

The Lord showed me prophetically: it’s going to be a storm that appears over America. And the cloud will fall—when it falls, it hits the ground. All of a sudden the earth turns to look like water, but it’s still earth. And a big wave hits, splashes, and it starts going west—this huge land wave that goes west from the middle of the United States.

Rick Joyner, a Second Civil War, and the Americas

So Rick Joyner—Rick Joyner got taken to heaven. He got to see the history of America in advance. And you see he’s trying to get as far ahead as he could, because it’s already written in the history books of America.

And guess what? He saw a second civil war in America. It’s already written in the history books of God about America.

Now, it’s not just the United States of America. It’s the Americas. A civil war is taking place. Families fighting family about who is going to decide the direction of a nation. That’s what’s going on. But if you don’t know it, you’re going to lose it. If you don’t know you’re at war, you’re going to be losing the war.

And I’m talking about war, war, war—but I’m saying: if you need to enlist and do it legally, then you need to be able to do that.

Joyner also saw massive numbers of people rushing our borders. But what’s mixed in with these beautiful people—who we need to have compassion on, because we need to be on both sides of every nation as the church, ministering to them—are people who have a cult following. Their value rises and their power rises by how much pain they can cause someone.

Related:

That’s why you see violence such as MS-13. That’s why you see people decapitating, removing arms and legs, scattering them around—it’s horror. It’s Satan, and people who’ve sold out to him.

And in these crowds coming over the border, those people are there too. It might be fragmented—just a few. But what Joyner saw prophetically is that they would come in, and there is a spirit of death on them, and they just begin to kill.

There’s something interesting: when people riot in their own cities, they burn down their own grocery stores—like, that’s where you get your medicine. But it’s a spirit of death that begins to destroy.

And he said that’s going to happen. It’s going to rise up. They’re going to come. And finally, normal Americans are going to rise up. They’re going to deal with it, and it’s going to end. And then you’ve got to go back to work doing your job again.

These are things that have been spoken over our nation. I think the state of the nation—and the world—is kind of shaky right now. It’s kind of shaky. Don’t get drunk on the financial blessing right now.

America’s Engine, Speed, and Strain

Imagine if you had a car—and it’s the first time you had it—and you realize… what was that movie… Back to the Future. You had to drive fast and go into a new time zone. You had to slam that car down and go so fast.

Well, what happened with our president—he got into the car of America, he grabbed the steering wheel, and he went boom—and that thing is riding. It’s like the engine is getting hot, and he’s pushing it—trying to get us to break over the economic barriers, to begin to make more money than we’re spending, shifting economies—because it’s all about money.

So we’re maxing it out. And any mechanic knows you can only go so long like that before the engine begins to… you know… starts to come down. And most people don’t realize how fast we’re moving. We’re moving fast. Praise God—great things are happening. But we’ve got to pay attention, because only God is going to cause this thing to work out.

And the reason why we’re going to have another civil war, God said to Rick Joyner, is because the first American Revolution never moved into its full potential—because every man is created equal under the eyes of God. The second Civil War never did completely move. It never shifted us into the place we needed to be.

Related:

It’s interesting: the First Great Awakening happened before the American Revolution. The Second Great Awakening happened right before the Civil War. So what’s probably going to happen? A Great Awakening, and a second civil war.

So get into the Great Awakening. I wonder why. Could it be that hundreds of thousands of lives were lost—and they would be saved and go to heaven—because they got saved in the Great Awakening before they had to fight for their country? I don’t know. It makes you wonder, right? Why does it come before the war and not after? The mercies of God.

The Instant Generation: Eight Seconds and Outsourced Thinking

In the midst of all this, we’re in an instant generation. Everything is instant: swipe right, swipe left, “Let’s up in a minute,” “Oh, I like that,” “What do you think?” “Okay, I got it,” “Let’s go.” Bam. Two days—it delivers to your door. Drive-ups, drive-thrus. Nobody even pays attention anymore in their car. They let a computer—Google Maps—tell them: turn left, turn right. It tells you everything to do. And we quit thinking.

I think we’re not as smart—but I’m not sure. I have to ask Google. Are we smart anymore? I used to know so many numbers. I used to know my own number. I used to know how old I was… years ago.

So we’re leaning on technology to do stuff for us, and we call ourselves smarter. Now who’s smarter? The people in Silicon Valley who are thinking for us—rather than us paying attention.

I heard a man arguing with a conservative leader in the United Kingdom. She was arguing for life in the womb. And the guy stood up and said, “Well, you know, I searched Google, and it has a fair view because it gathers all the different viewpoints and brings them all together.”

And I’m like, dude—it’s a company. They’re not “fair.” Stuff just comes up.

But the mindset of young people today: they believe if they search for it in a search engine, it’s accurate—which means if Silicon Valley wants to determine the direction of the world, they’ve got to change what comes up on the search engines. That’s it.

All of a sudden they have an army arguing points: “I just searched for it.” It was “their answer.” You’re going to be the president, you know—crazy stuff.

Generation Z consumes more convenience items than any other generation that’s ever been—and they view them as necessities rather than luxuries. Years ago, we were holding the TV antenna with one foot and some… with the other, and that was technology. Today people complain about something so thin delivering so much—and they see it as a necessity, not a luxury.

It’s not that they’re lazy, a journalist writes. They simply see convenience as the driver of efficiency, and technology as the vehicle that will get them there. And I can understand that.

SOFA magazine writes about Generation Z: they say much of the demand for convenience stems from the fact that nearly half of Generation Z are true digital natives. Having grown up with smartphones in their hands, they’re connected more than 10 hours a day. To what? To Silicon Valley.

They receive about 3,000 texts a day—silly, face, adverts—and that’s just Washington, D.C.

They’ve never known a world without Google, Facebook, high-speed internet. They’ve grown up with constant streams of data and instant access to information, says Entrepreneur. Instant gratification is their modus operandi.

In other words, instantly they look at their parents. The parent says, “Clean your room.” “Can you say that faster? Do it now.” Right? Do it now.

They consume info at mind-boggling speeds. After growing up in a world of infinite options and limited time, Generation Z consumes information incredibly quickly. They think they multitask across five screens every day. They communicate rapidly—bantering communication: “Okay, I’m… you’re not my friend. I’m not going to hear that.”

Information bombardment has left them with an attention span of about 8.25 seconds—less than a goldfish. It’s like, I’ll just talk to my goldfish.

In prompting analysis they write to describe them as impatient, distracted, and overwhelmed. A company called Fast Company prefers to categorize their short attention spans as highly evolved “eight-second filters.” Not like a filter—you lose them in nine.

But with endless affirmation at their fingertips, they’re experts at swiftly sorting, assessing, and filtering enormous amounts of content. Sounds like a machine to me—not a human being. Definitely not good for relationships—especially not in marriage. “What? What? What?”

Project NSA Insider says this is a world of emojis and six-second Vine videos. This generation consumes information instantaneously and loses interest just as fast.

God Has Not Changed

Yet in all of this—the state of the nation, this instant generation, all these people changing—God has never changed. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. His ways are always the same… It’s man’s ways that have changed, not God’s ways.

History tells us that men tend to think they’ve outthought God—only to find out He’s never changed.

Isn’t it awesome, when everything is changing so much, that God never changes? He’s not looking for loopholes to get out of saving you—nor do His ways change. That’s comforting, right?

So How Long Does a Transition Take?

So transitions of power—civil wars—how long does it take for them to take place? I would say it’s longer than an eight-second soundbite. How many people put nine seconds into something and go, “Well, I guess it’s not going to happen right now. I thought we were going to be a free nation. I thought they were going to be free. I’m out here fighting this war, and they still let me stay for a whole 90 days to fight the war.”

Okay, let’s look at an example right now. There’s a civil war going on in several places—actually happening in America—but we’ll look at Venezuela.

Let’s take a look at Venezuela, because I know everybody knows where Venezuela is. There is Venezuela in South America. and Brazil. Venezuela. You have Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Houston, Texas, Florida, Cuba—90 miles off Florida’s coast.

We’re talking about that—how they’re partnering. So you have Venezuela and Cuba and Russia working together to come against America while hundreds of thousands of people are being shoved up into the middle of our nation.

Say: You should be concerned.

Here’s a closer look at Venezuela. Pretty close to us.

Listen, Venezuela was a very blessed nation. They were the fourth richest nation—fourth to America being the richest nation in the world. Out of 190 to 195 nations, they had—still have—great oil reserves, great wealth.

And all of a sudden they weren’t satisfied with what they had. They wanted more. When you have somebody in your presence living in a house, they’ve got rent, they’ve got a car, job—they’re an American. Come on—you’re the richest people in the world if you’re an American.

If you’re the poorest person in America, you’re richer than 70% to 90% of the world’s population—depending on the estimates. That’s powerful.

I had someone working for me recently in India—highly intelligent. They recently came into capitalism in the nineties. Prior to that they had a communist economy. They’re pushing hard, working hard. He did such a good job I wanted to tip him, and he expected something so small.

I told him, “How could I not? Look at the excellent work you’ve done.” But what we can do as Americans—we can bless so many people if we listen to what God is saying to us.

So Venezuela had everything going good, and people wanted more. “Look at his car. Look at their house. Look at that money. I’m rich, but he’s richer.” “I’ve got nice clothes, but look at her clothes.”

And so someone started running for office: Hugo Chávez. He ran as a socialist. He told everybody, “Listen—if you put me into office, you see all these people all over the world—we’re the fourth richest nation in the world—we’re going to take all their stuff, pile it up, and distribute it to everybody.” Wealth transfer. That’s socialism.

He said, “We’re going to transfer it to everybody.” And people—natural communism and socialism—(they’re really one and the same)—is the deepest temptation to your flesh, because your flesh doesn’t want to work. It wants stuff. “Just give it to me.”

It’s tempting when someone says they’re going to give you other people’s stuff, but wisdom tells you that’s not going to work. It’s happened many times. The ultimate wealth transfer is heaven—gold streets and jewels—that’s the ultimate wealth transfer.

So they voted him in. They voted in a socialist.

Some people right now are saying, “We want a universal basic income—UBI.” We want a bill to pay people even though they’re unwilling to work.

So what does Wikipedia say about all this? We want to understand, right? We want to learn.

You might have to put down your Cheerios and fight—I mean, that’s how close it’s getting. When war happens, they have a thing called a draft. God said specifically to Jim Bakker—showed an it dream where people are being called into a draft. People who said, “We don’t want to go to war” are being drafted.

War is evil. War is bad. But sometimes war is necessary. There’s a war in heaven. Please listen: when we got born again, God dropped us behind enemy lines—Ephesians 6:12. We’re fighting every day in the spiritual realm, and it manifests in the natural realm.

So let’s take a quick look. Are you flowing with this? Are you catching it?

Maduro, Dictatorship, and the Fruit of Socialism

Nicolás Maduro is the leader now. He was born November 23, 1962, and he’s a Venezuelan politician serving as the president of Venezuela since 2013—his presidency being in dispute with Juan Guaidó since January 2019. He began his work as a bus driver.

Related:

So when you catch the bus, take a look—that could be your leader the next day.

Maduro rose to become a trade union leader. He was elected to the National Assembly in 2000. He was appointed to positions under Hugo Chávez, and in 2012 The Wall Street Journal described him as the most capable administrator and politician of Chávez’s inner circle. In other words, they’re one and the same.

He served as minister of foreign affairs from 2006 to 2013 and vice president from 2012 to 2013 under Chávez.

After Chávez’s death was announced on March 5, 2013, Maduro assumed presidential power and responsibilities. A special presidential election was held in 2013, which Maduro won by 50.62%—rigged. It was a rigged election. You know it was rigged.

He has ruled Venezuela by decree since November 19, 2013—powers granted by pre-2015 legislation. It’s like saying Congress allowed him to do this. Hitler was voted in. They elected him. Then he became a dictator.

So socialism is where government takes over ownership of businesses, wealth, everything. They decide what they’re going to do with it.

Have you ever gone to get your driver’s license? Have you ever gone to the government to get your tag? I like those folks, but can you imagine them determining the future of your country—or your next heart surgery? “Pull the number.” [calling people by their ticket number in the waiting room.] “I’m having a heart attack.” “Your number is 1032.” “I’m going to die.”

That’s the government. That’s how it works.

Here’s another example—maybe you can relate. Capitalism is: you study, you work, you get an A-plus. Others play around, they get an F. Your future reflects what you did.

Socialism is: “Bring all the grades in. Pile them up. Average them. Everybody gets a D.”

The kids with an F say, “Dude, I was sending emojis and I got a D.” The kids who got A’s say, “I’m not cracking a book again.” It works for a season, then it collapses because the workers stop producing.

So who wants to be in a socialist classroom? Nobody. But Venezuela voted it in—and then they wanted out.

Related:

“Socialism works until you run out of other people’s money.”  Former Prime Minister Margret Thatcher

Wikipedia goes on: under Maduro’s socialist government, shortages increased. Living standards decreased. Here they were—fourth richest—and now they’re bartering medicines for blood pressure. Money is inflated beyond meaning. People are raped on buses. People are jailed for speaking against the government. Opposition gets killed or imprisoned.

But it doesn’t start there—it starts with “We’ll take care of everybody.”

Now understand: socialism always produces lowered standards because men leave God for government. When men turn to government, what they’re really saying is, “I don’t need God. I’ve got government help.”

And when government takes money without permission, that’s theft—unless the people vote for it, and then they decide it. Slavery is nothing but a tax rate: if you’re 100% taxed, you’re 100% a slave; if you’re 50%, you’re 50% a slave.

So this crisis is happening. Protests began in 2014 and escalated. They dumped free speech. They dumped the right to bear arms. Once they take away your guns, you have rocks and sticks.

The government runs people over with trucks. This is what Venezuela looks like right now—and it can happen here if we don’t wake up.

And God says it’s coming here.

A dictator refuses to let go, while Juan Guaidó stands up in the presence of bullets. It’s amazing. But it’s going to take men and women in America who stand for what’s right.

So here’s the question: how long will it take for the transition of power in Venezuela?

That’s not the question. The question is: how much pain will the Venezuelan people endure before they stand up for righteous leadership?

And how much pain will it take for you, America?

Because during a transition of power, God allows you to eat the fruit of what you chose, so you won’t choose it again. Pain increases until people make a righteous decision.

Fox News reported: “Americans are warming up to socialism over capitalism,” written by Maxine Lott. Politicians call themselves “democratic socialists.” There’s no such thing. America is a republic—everyone is subject to law.

So they set the stage: civil war. Transition of power. Every election you used to hear: “a peaceful transition of power.” Why do they say that? Because history says most transitions are not peaceful, and blood is often shed.

Venezuela is not peaceful. Blood is being shed.

Saul and David: A Biblical Transition of Power

Now we go to Saul and David. It’s a family. They’re all Israel. But there’s a civil war about to take place—a transition of power.

Saul was chosen by God, but God regretted choosing him. One day Saul took things into his own hands. Samuel told him, “It’s over.” Saul grabbed Samuel’s robe, ripped it, and Samuel said, “Today the kingdom is ripped from you.” That was the beginning of a transition of power.

But it wasn’t instantaneous. It didn’t happen like a Discovery Channel house built in 30 seconds. It takes time.

The same day the kingdom was taken from Saul, a 15-year-old shepherd named David was anointed. But it took 22 years for the transition to fully take place.

So with an eight-second attention span, how are we going to make it through a transition of power?

Relax. It’s going to happen.

Now, time markers:

In 1052 B.C., Saul was anointed the first king of Israel at 30 years old.

In 1040 B.C., David was born.

In 1025 B.C., David was anointed the next king at demonstrate years—about 15.

In 1010 B.C., Saul died—15 years after David was anointed.

God didn’t tell David to go straight to Jerusalem. He said go to Hebron. Why? Because transition takes time.

From 1010 to 1003 B.C., seven years after Saul died, Israel experienced pain until they were ready to accept God’s leadership.

Now to 1 Samuel 31:3. This is the climactic point—pay attention.

Verse 3: The battle pressed hard against Saul. The archers found him, and he was badly wounded. Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and thrust me through, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust through me and mistreat me.” But the armor-bearer was afraid. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Saul died. His three sons died. His armor-bearer died. All his men died the same day.

And the men of Israel abandoned their cities and fled. They left their cities, and the Philistines came and lived there. Transitions are painful.

Pain is the ingredient God uses to get people to respond. C.S. Lewis said in The Problem of Pain: we can ignore pleasure, but pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers in our pleasure, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain—His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

So the question isn’t how long. It’s: how bad does the pain have to get before people listen to God and accept His leadership in their life, and in their nation?

Discipline, Sons, and National Hardship

Hebrews 12:5–13—discipline. Sons. Family. God disciplines those He loves. He chastises every son He receives.

Endure hardship as discipline. Venezuela is experiencing hardship. They asked for socialism, and they got it. But God said to Cindy Jacobs that Maduro is coming down. There’s a transition of power.

Hold on to what God said. Don’t buy into the narrative.

In the end, Israel came to Hebron and said to David, “We were always for you. You’re supposed to be over God’s people. You’re supposed to lead us.” And they accepted him. Because you can’t force leadership. People have to choose it.

How long did it take? A lot of pain. Seven years of pain.

And we may be in a season where America has to turn.

So what do we do? Humble ourselves. Repent. Get our own house in order. Learn what we’re talking about and teach others—patiently. Understand their viewpoint. Then help them see a better way.

Accept God’s leadership in your life.

America is under transition. There are underlying powers—some call it the swamp, some call it shadow government. Presidents come and go, but those underlying forces remain. We need God to root it out.

Hold on to what God said: God is redeeming this nation. He has plans. It’s going to be rough. But He’s redeeming it.

John Paul Jackson said: America will keep getting darker until God’s people cry out. So we cry out right now, Lord.

Prayer

Lord, we ask You for this nation, and we believe Your Word over this nation. God, we ask You for the people of Venezuela, that You would free them from this tyrannical government. We thank You that You already decreed Maduro is coming down, and freedom is coming across this globe.

We pray for this generation that has an eight-second attention span—help them understand that’s not You, God, that’s man, and they need to pay attention and do their work.

Father, we pray against the spirit of socialism and communism trying to creep into our nation. We come against the spirit of lawlessness and lawbreakers at our borders. Put angels aboard the Liberty Angel over this.

Let the church unify. Let dividing walls end. Let the church rise up and be bold.

We pray protection over Juan Guaidó in Venezuela. We pray protection over Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and our soldiers defending freedom.

Lord, we believe You. We thank You for this transition that’s taking place. We hold on. Let it be unto us according to Your Word, Father, in Jesus’ name.

Endnotes:

Juan Guaidó journey since:

  • Juan Guaidó
  • 2019–2022: Guaidó rose as the face of the opposition, leading protests, calling for military defections, and managing some foreign assets (like Citgo in the US) through his “interim government.” However, he failed to oust Maduro despite international backing, humanitarian aid attempts, and uprisings.
  • Late 2022: The opposition National Assembly voted to dissolve his interim government and replace it with a commission for foreign assets, ending his claim to the presidency. This reflected internal divisions and a shift toward unity ahead of the 2024 elections.
  • April 2023: Fearing arrest, Guaidó fled Venezuela to Colombia (initially for a conference), where authorities considered deportation before he was flown to the United States, where he has lived in exile ever since (primarily in Miami, based on reports and his activities).
  • 2023–2025: Maduro’s regime issued an arrest warrant against him for alleged money laundering, treason, etc., and sought Interpol cooperation (though no red notice materialized prominently). Guaidó remained active in exile, advocating for pressure on Maduro, supporting opposition figures like María Corina Machado, and criticizing the disputed 2024 election.
  • Early 2026 (current as of January 10): Following dramatic events—including the US capture of Nicolás Maduro in early January 2026 (involving military action, Delta Force references, and a $50M bounty)—Guaidó has reemerged somewhat publicly. He posted from the U.S. Army War College, thanking Trump and US institutions, receiving a symbolic insignia from a Delta Force member involved in Maduro’s detention, and positioning himself as building alliances for Venezuela’s future.
