If this bill passes on the final vote it would be the strictest abortion law in the United States. They continue to discuss that since Roe vs. Wade a landmark case that made abortion legal but definitely not moral, 55 million plus abortions have been committed. That is the equivalent of the population of 25 of the least populated states in the United States. When broken down that means 3,322 per day, 138 every hour, and 2 every minute abortions are performed. According to the Christian Post, “Alabama lawmakers on Tuesday passed a bill in the House banning abortions after a heartbeat has been detected. The bill, if it becomes law, would make it the strictest abortion law in the United States and critics are already decrying it. The bill, HB 490, was passed in the House with a 73-29 vote. The measure severely punishes doctors who would go against the legislation by making it a class C felony for doctors who abort a baby with a heartbeat as defined by the bill and promises to revoke the licenses of doctors who go against it.” They further discuss how often times the root cause of abortion is idolatry. It all centers on how the birth of this child will affect my life. God has been answering a prayer that many in the church at large have been praying. “Dear God, End abortion send revival.” As a result in the last year we have seen several states, Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, Ohio, Arkansas, and now Alabama pass abortion banning laws.
