The same way that it is impossible not to have water touch you when you swim or air away from us so it is impossible to keep away from the lies of Satan and those who are his children since he is known as the father of lies. The only one who can keep us free from falsehood and lies is Jesus when we ask him to keep us free from them and as we abide. With God, all things are possible. The man in this proverb is sincere and transparent with God and blows the whole American dream concept out of the water when he tells God not to give him riches nor poverty because either one would cause him to either disown God or forget him. Instead, he asked for daily break. Life does not exist in the abundance of things. We can trust Him. All we need to do is seek his kingdom and righteousness. God is enough.
