90 Hour Bible Reading Marathon on U.S. Capitol
We have seen positive changes in Washington, D.C. one being that now the tallest building in the U.S. Capitol is the Museum of the Bible! It is amazing to see a powerful light for Jesus in the middle of our capitol! Also, for four days straight the Bible was read from Genesis to Revelation at the U.S. Capitol, not far from the Museum of the Bible! This takes place once a year, where many people including children and government officials, come to read the Bible so that it can be read 24 hours a day for those four days. God’s Word does not return void! This is powerful for it to be read at our capital because the Bible is important to our country as it is one of our founding documents.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
As the Bible is read out loud, it is declaring truth over our nation! One of those truths being that abortion is murder. With the truth being read for all to hear, this can bring reasoning to where there is no reason right now in our government. We see the end of abortion in many states where the Heartbeat Bill is being passed with Georgia being the most recent state to pass it. This means that once the heartbeat of the baby is detected an abortion can’t be performed! It is powerful how God is answering our prayers, and we believe that abortion will be ended completely in America because we cannot have a great awakening in America when there is innocent bloodshed in the land.
In America, we should not take for granted how we have many ways to access the Bible. In addition, the average American reportedly has at least four Bibles in their home. It is important that we hide God’s Word in our heart and declare the truth of it as well. We need to pick up a Bible and spend time with God. If you need help on how to spend time with the Lord and how to read the Bible you can get a free plan at iAbide HERE today! What do you think about the reading of the Bible in Washington D.C.? We want to hear from you. Write to us at [email protected]. Greg and John shared in this segment.

The Key to Fighting Being Lukewarm
Being lukewarm in the Kingdom of God is not something acceptable to God. It is being someone who lives an indecisive life, living in a maybe. How do we stay hot in a lukewarm world? Mike Bickle with the International House of Prayer answers this question for us. It is important that we live on fire for the Lord! Otherwise, it doesn’t end well for us.
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16
We join Bickle as he gives us three keys to fighting off lukewarm Christianity in the Church not only in America but worldwide. The three keys we must use to fight off being lukewarm are based on Who God is. He is the Amen, the faithful and true witness, and the beginning of the creation. “I think that spiritual lukewarmness is one of the most common…descriptions of the Church, not just in the West but even in the world. The body of Christ is struggling with spiritual lukewarmness, and I believe in the early days of the generation of the greatest revival in history where the Church is going to shake off the lukewarmness and walk in her identity as a cherished bride. The Spirit and the bride crying, come Lord Jesus and the bride will be prepared for His coming because she will be walking in wholehearted love for Him and one another.”
This is one of the signs of the last days that the Church becomes lukewarm. This is a worldwide Church issue, and many are living a compromised life because they are afraid, to tell the truth of what they believe. The reason is they don’t want to cause someone to dislike them. Jesus lived an uncompromising life, and He stood by the truth no matter what.
The fact that God will spit us out if we are lukewarm should cause us to examine ourselves to see where we stand. Are you lukewarm? One way to fight lukewarmness is to understand that God is faithful and true. What God says to you, you can bank on it! You can put your trust in God knowing that He will remain faithful to what He has said. We know that if God said it, He will stand by it.
“God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?” Numbers 23:19 ESV
We can’t force ourselves to be on fire for the Lord, but we will succeed when we understand the grace of God to stay hot and to lock into His promises! We need to learn His promises, but we must believe them and speak them back to God. When we talk to Him and declare His promises back to Him, we release those words into the spiritual realm.
The Bible is filled with God’s promises!
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Isaiah 40:29
“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
We can trust God through any troubles that we face in this world! There are many more promises in the Word of God that we can stand on and declare to God knowing that He is faithful to bring His promises to pass. Be encouraged by this and let us know what you think. Write to us at [email protected]. Greg and John shared in this segment.
