Five Things We Will Learn

  1. Why a passion for God and a burden for people must define every believer’s life
  2. How obstacles and resistance can actually signal that God is about to move powerfully
  3. The importance of persistent evangelism and never giving up on people
  4. How surrendering fully to God removes fear and unlocks boldness
  5. What it looks like to live a life where everything points back to Jesus

A Passion for God and a Burden for the Lost

There is a simple but powerful theme woven throughout this conversation:
a passion for God and a burden for the lost.

This was not just a message that Jeri Hill and her husband, Steve Hill, preached. It was the way they lived every day of their lives. From the streets of South America to the platform of the Brownsville Revival, their lives were marked by a deep hunger for more of God and an unshakable desire to see people saved.

As Jeri shared, they knew there was more. That hunger led them into deeper prayer, deeper surrender, and ultimately into a life where they no longer wanted to rely on their own strength, but on God working through them.

That shift changes everything.

When Obstacles Are a Sign God Is Moving

One of the most striking moments in the interview is the story of Steve traveling to Chile. What should have been a simple journey turned into a series of obstacles. Snow-covered mountain passes blocked the way. Roads failed. At one point, they had to drive their truck on railroad tracks through a tunnel, hoping no train would come.

It would have been easy to quit.

Instead, Steve told his team something profound:
“For us to be going through all of this, it must mean that God is really going to move.”

And He did.

When they arrived, people were supernaturally drawn in. Some couldn’t even walk away. Others gave their lives to Jesus on the spot. The difficulty was not a barrier. It was confirmation.

Too often, people interpret resistance as a reason to stop. But in the Kingdom of God, resistance often means breakthrough is near.

The Power of Persistent Evangelism

Another powerful lesson comes through Jeri’s story of a young woman named Norma.

For six months, every single day, Jeri shared the love of Jesus with her. Every day, Norma rejected it. She questioned motives. She resisted the message. She pushed back.

But Jeri didn’t quit.

She prayed. She wept. She fasted. She kept showing up.

Then one day, something shifted. In a moment of boldness, Jeri declared the truth of Jesus with conviction. That day, Norma gave her life to Christ.

But the story didn’t end there.

Norma went on to Bible school, became a missionary to Africa, and dedicated her life to the Gospel.

This is what happens when we don’t give up.

As the Scripture says, those who go out weeping, bearing seed, will return with joy, carrying the harvest.

Living Free from the Fear of Man

One of the greatest barriers to sharing the Gospel is fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of what people will think. Fear of saying the wrong thing.

But Jeri makes it clear where true boldness comes from.

It comes from being crucified with Christ.

When you are no longer living for yourself, you are no longer controlled by the opinions of others. Your focus shifts completely to what God wants to do through you.

As she said plainly:
“I don’t care what people think about me.”

That kind of freedom is powerful. It removes hesitation and replaces it with purpose.

Every Moment Is an Opportunity

One of the most practical takeaways from this conversation is how Jeri approaches everyday life.

Whether it is a repairman, a neighbor, or someone walking by, she sees every interaction as an opportunity. Her home is filled with items that tell stories about God. Conversations naturally turn toward Jesus.

She listens first. Then she shares.

This is not complicated. It is intentional.

You do not need a stage to share the Gospel. You need a heart that is willing.

Revival Is Not the End—It’s the Beginning

The Brownsville Revival was marked by powerful encounters with God, but Jeri emphasizes something even more important:
fruit that remains.

Lives that were changed and stayed changed.

Disciples who continued to live for God and lead others to Him.

Revival is not just about moments. It is about multiplication.

That is why training others, equipping believers, and raising up evangelists continues to be such a strong focus. The work must continue through everyday believers who are willing to say yes.

A Call to Live Fully Surrendered

At the core of everything shared in this interview is one central truth:

God is not looking for partial commitment.
He is looking for complete surrender.

A life where your mind, your will, and your emotions are aligned with Him.
A life where you are willing to go, speak, and act when He leads.
A life where your story becomes a testimony that points others to Jesus.

There is nothing more fulfilling than that.
