In these difficult times, a good question to ask is what the condition is our soldiers in? We see a group of Marine soldiers worshiping God which is encouraging! The group is called Real Men Worship, and they are singing the song Lord I Lift Your Name on High. God is moving all over the world today!
We must also remember that we are designed for the presence of God, and we are as close to God as we want to be. We must make a choice to go after God no matter what and surround ourselves with others who are going after God too. This is going to be the best of times and the worst of times. #WisdomMoments The Desperate Need of Wisdom in our Life
Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge, and in this wisdom moment, John, Steve, and Pat talk about how we can gain much wisdom from the book of Proverbs in the Bible.
“Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. To the discerning all of them are right; they are upright to those who have found knowledge. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.” Proverbs 8:6-11
Many are trying to acquire things and to gain knowledge, but at the same time, not many are looking for wisdom in how to apply that knowledge in their daily life. As we seek wisdom and read the Word of God, we need to ask ourselves if we are allowing the Word of God to move through us versus just reading to check off a task.
Jesus has called us to be like little children, and when you look at a child, you can see how they don’t limit God. We can be that way and humble ourselves like a little child and ask God for anything. Knowledge clouds us and causes us to stop being like a child. Many begin to rest in their own knowledge versus resting in God. God is limitless! We must stop limiting God and pursue Him like a little child. We can depend on the Lord in humility, and He will guide us in all things.
Also, as we read the Word of God, He will reveal the wisdom that we need. Ask Him for wisdom because He is waiting for us to ask! What we need is the wisdom and revelation of God.
